India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ruchira Kamboj said that India’s G20 presidency has seen the highest participation from African countries so far. During the G20 conference in India, South Africa, Mauritius, Egypt, Nigeria, African Union member countries, African Union Development Agency etc. have participated.

India raised the voice of developing countries vociferously

Ruchira Kamboj said that during the presidency of the G20, India has vocally raised the voice of the global south and developing countries. The Global South Summit was held in January 2023, which was chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. That conference was attended by representatives of 125 countries, including 18 heads of state and other ministerial-level officials.

So far 100 events have been organized under G20

Giving information to the United Nations, Kamboj said that on April 17, the 100th G20 program was held under the chairmanship of India. This program was of Agriculture Chief Scientists, which was organized in Varanasi. Recognizing the concept of One Earth, One Family and One Future, India wants to develop an understanding through the G20 that can deal with global challenges.
