The Punjab Police has arrested Joga Singh, a key aide of Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh, from Sirhind. Border Range DIG Narinder Bhargava gave this information.

Earlier, Punjab Police and National Investigation Agency NIA had picked up a lawyer practicing in District Court Kapurthala in a joint operation. Advocate Rajdeep Singh had shared some content on his Facebook wall regarding absconding Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal. After this, Punjab Police and NIA swung into action and detained the lawyer.
After detaining advocate Rajdeep Singh, he is being interrogated about his relation with Amritpal and where is Amritpal. On the other hand, the District Kapurthala Bar Association has taken strong note of the detention of its lawyer without any notice. It has been declared illegal.

The Bar Association has written in its letter declaring no work day that Rajdeep Singh had gone to Paonta Sahib. He was returning from there that on the way he was arrested by the Punjab Police and NI team without any prior notice. His arrest has been done only because he had posted some content on his Facebook wall regarding Amritpal.
