A boat carrying 400 passengers has been caught in trouble between Malta and Greece amid a huge increase in the number of boats carrying migrants from North Africa crossing the Mediterranean Sea to reach Europe. Support service Alarm Phone tweeted about its concerns, saying it had received a call from the boat, which had left Tobruk, Libya. While the German NGO Sea-Water International said that there is a danger of death in front of the people on the boat.
