Coronavirus: 306 new corona positive in Himachal, government alert, masks mandatory in hospitals

The government is on alert regarding the daily increasing cases of corona in Himachal Pradesh. In hospitals, it has been made mandatory for patients and attendants including health department employees to wear masks. People have been advised to wear masks even in crowded areas. The health department also made a presentation in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday regarding the increasing cases of corona. In the meeting, it was decided to conduct mock drills in Kovid hospitals on 10 and 11 April.

Health Secretary M. Sudha told the cabinet during the presentation that the number of corona active patients in Himachal has gone up to 1,493. On Tuesday, 306 new corona positive patients were registered in the hospitals of the state. Especially the elderly suffering from diseases have been asked to take precautions. Adequate arrangements have been made in the hospitals to deal with the corona. Apart from this, advisory has also been issued to the hospital management.

There are 296 active patients in district Mandi, Kangra 252, Hamirpur 239, Shimla 179, Bilaspur 157, Solan 89, Sirmaur 83, Chamba 73, Kinnaur 16, Lahaul Spiti 12 and Una 13.
