The Bharatiya Janata Party is planning a grand welcome for Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Chennai next week, where he is likely to flag off the Vande Bharat Express, among other development programmes, sources said on Friday.

The BJP is planning a massive welcome, with over 30,000 people expected to line the streets to welcome the Prime Minister upon his arrival.
State President Annamalai, who is also the co-in-charge of Electoral Karnataka, is supervising all the arrangements.
