The opening match of the WPL Women’s Premier League has been rescheduled

The opening match of the WPL Women’s Premier League has been rescheduled with a delayed start at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, March 4, 2023.

The match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants will begin at 8 pm IST, 30 minutes later than the previously scheduled time.

The opening ceremony of the Women’s Premier League will start at 6:25 PM IST, an official release from the T20 tournament said. The reason for the delayed start of the league is not known yet.

The toss will take place for the first-ever match of the Women’s Premier League at 7:30 PM onwards.

According to the release, “The gates of the DY Patil Stadium will be open for the audience at 4:00 PM onwards and the fans of WPL  will be able to witness the grand opening ceremony of Women’s Premier League which will start at 6:25 PM IST, ” 

In this opening ceremony, Bollywood actresses Kriti Sanon and Kiara Advani are set to dazzle fans with their hot performances. Renowned singer AP Dhillon will also perform during the grand opening ceremony of WPL.
