G20: W20 Inception Meet To Be Held In Aurangabad

W20 or Women 20 inception meeting will be held in Aurangabad under India’s presidency.

The meet will be held on 27th February and 28th February. India took the presidency from Indonesia on 12th December 2022. 

ESTABLISHMENT

W20 was developed in 2015 under the presidency of Turkey. The primary objectives of the W20 are,

• Gender Equality 
• Women’s Economic Empowerment 

The vision of PM, Narendra Modi on W20 is to strengthen the network globally and nationally. 

The W20 aims to create a women-led world, create a world of equality and opportunity to thrive.

MAIN OBJECTIVES 

The 5 main objectives of W20 under the Indian Presidency are,

• Women in Entrepreneurship 
• Women Leadership at the Grassroots
• Bringing the Gender Digital Divide 
• Education and Skill Development 
• Women and Girls as Change Makers
