Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday approved an amount of Rs 100 crore to increase and strengthen the infrastructure in Shimla city to increase the number of tourists from the country and the world in Himachal Pradesh and for the convenience of the local people. CM Sukhu said that an amount of Rs 55 crore will be spent on underground wires in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, which will ensure proper duct facilities.

CM Sukhu said that with this project, uninterrupted and 24-hour power supply will be easily available to all the consumers in Shimla city even during heavy snowfall and adverse weather. CM Sukhu said that this important step, apart from restoring all the old glory of Shimla city, will also enhance the aesthetic appeal of Shimla city for all the tourists from India and abroad.

Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh Government will spend an amount of Rs 45 crore for the complete improvement and widening of the Circular Road in the capital Shimla.

CM Sukhu said that by reducing the congestion on the roads of Shimla city, the local people and tourists from India and abroad will also get the best facilities and smooth flow of vehicular movement can also be ensured. CM Sukhu has also given appropriate directions to the Himachal Pradesh PWD department to remove all the road obstructions in Shimla city for the convenience of the passengers.

The present Himachal Pradesh government has started various types of schemes to attract a large number of tourists from all over the country and the world to the entire Himachal Pradesh and through these schemes an important target of bringing about five crore tourists to Himachal Pradesh has been set and appropriate guidelines have also been issued to create necessary infrastructure for the facilities of all tourists.
