The semi-final matches of the ongoing IBA Men’s World Boxing Championship 2023 in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent are going to start from today and in such a situation, India will be eyeing to win the gold medal in this event as three Indian wrestlers will compete in the semi-finals starting today.

These three boxers of India will enter the ring on Friday for the semi-final match of the ongoing IBA Men’s World Boxing Championship 2023 in Uzbekistan’s capital Tashkent. For the first time in any edition of the World Championship, three Indian men will be seen competing in the semi-finals.

With three medals decided, India are joint fourth in the medals tally of the prestigious global tournament. In this, the host Uzbekistan has won 9 medals so far, while Cuba and Russia are second with 6-6 medals and Kazakhstan (5) is in third place.
