Varanasi gears up to host 3-day G20 Summit from Monday

Varanasi city will host the first three-day G20 meeting of the Agriculture Working Group from Monday. The three-day event from April 17-19 will see representatives from 20 major countries of the world and representatives from other participating countries participate in the Agriculture Working Group meeting. The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made all preparations to ensure a grand event for the G20 events. According to an official statement, the three-day event will carry the message of promoting nutritious diet, food security and eco-friendly farming to keep the whole world healthy. With the motto of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, India is hosting the G20 this year. A total of 6 G20 meetings will be held in Varanasi. The first of these meetings is starting from 17th April. For this, on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the entire city has been beautifully decorated. Along with this, strict security arrangements have been made. The main meeting of G20 will be held at Hotel Taj. This will be followed by a Kashi tour program for the guests, which mainly includes boating programs in Sarnath, Ganga, the abode of Lord Buddha. Apart from this, the G20 representatives will also participate in the world famous Ganga Aarti at Kashi. Guests from all over the world will also see the skill of traditional handicraftsmen of Kashi. Inauguration of MACS (Meeting of Leading Scientists of Agriculture) 2023, Sustainable Agricultural Food Systems for Healthy People and Planet, on the first day of the meeting in Varanasi.
