Uttarkashi Tunnel Collapse Case: There Will Be A Safety Audit Of The Tunnels Under Construction In Himachal

After the entire incident of collapse of Silkyara Tunnel under construction in Uttarkashi, the National Highway Authority of India has come into action.
Safety audit of all the Twelve tunnels under construction in entire Himachal Pradesh will be conducted By National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The inspection report of all the under-construction tunnels of Himachal Pradesh will be prepared jointly by the teams of experts from National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) along with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
Also, after inspecting all the twelve under-construction tunnels of Himachal Pradesh, all the joint teams of National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will prepare a safety audit report within seven days and send it to the Government of India.
Tunnel work under construction is also continuing in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh –
Due to the collapse of the under construction Silkyara Tunnel in Uttarkashi in the neighboring state of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), after seven days of inspection of all the under construction tunnels in the entire Himachal Pradesh, has ordered all the joint ventures of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). A security audit report will be prepared with the teams and sent to the Government of India.
Along with this, joint teams of NHAI and DMRC will also prepare a safety audit report within seven days for the tunnels under construction in Chandigarh-Manali four lane under the biggest projects of the Central Government in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh and will be sent to the Government of India.
On the other hand, the safety audit report of about twenty-nine under-construction tunnels across the country will be done by all the joint teams of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
Also, after the inspection process of twelve tunnels under construction across Himachal Pradesh by all the joint teams of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), a safety audit report will be prepared and sent to the Government of India within seven days.
Safety Audit Report of all the twelve under construction tunnels of Himachal Pradesh having a total length of eighty nine kilometers has been prepared by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) within seven days of inspection by joint expert teams of all the tunnels. After investigation, the security audit report will be sent to the Government of India.
After inspection of the safety audit report of all the twelve tunnels of Himachal Pradesh, a copy of the report will be sent to the Government of India within seven days.
Notification has also been issued to all the regional officers of Himachal Pradesh of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to collect inspection notes and findings through a form after inspecting twelve under-construction tunnels.
Along with this, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will also check the notification of all the necessary works through the form in the inspection process of all the twelve under-construction tunnels and find out the findings through the necessary timeline.
Only under the Pandoh Bypass Takoli Project in Himachal Pradesh, eight out of ten tunnels under construction have been completed.
Also, NHAI is planning to start the traffic system after completing the five under-construction tunnels of Pandoh Bypass Takoli Project.
On the other hand, excavation work is being done by NHAI Regional Management in two under-construction tunnels under Pandoh Bypass Takoli Project.
Under the Pandoh Bypass Takoli project, the digging of two under-construction tunnels by the workers and the work of connecting both the under-construction tunnels of equal length and three hundred to five hundred meters together is being done at a fast pace before inspection.
Also, on any kind of emergency information in both the under-construction tunnels under Pandoh Bypass Takoli Project, special relief will be provided to all the laborers doing excavation work from one tunnel to the other through the normal route through cross passage tunnel in both the tunnels.
Also, during the excavation work of both the under-construction tunnels, exhaust, fire safety, all equipment under security and ambulance as well as food facilities have also been issued by the NHAI manager.
Guidelines and notification have been issued to the teams of NHAI and DMRC for safety audit report within seven days after inspection of all the twelve under construction tunnels of Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, notification and guidelines have also been issued to all the regional officers of NHAI to search inspection notes and findings through the form in twelve under-construction tunnels.
