G7 Summit Japan : Ukrainian President Zelensky meets Canadian PM Trudeau

G7 Summit Japan : Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky early Sunday on the margins of the Group of Seven summit in Hiroshima, Japan, where the two men hugged and exchanged words of support and appreciation.
It was a series of whirlwind meetings for the Ukrainian leader as he tries to bolster international support for his country ahead of a planned counter-offensive to expel Russian troops from his homeland.
The G7 host, Japan, has said the Ukrainian president, including Zelensky, came to the table with nations following a “strong desire” that would affect their country’s defense against Russia and eventual reconstruction.
