To keep the youth away from drugs and to fulfill the dream of health and prosperity, a mini marathon was organized today by Lions Clubs Solan.
Solan Municipal Corporation Commissioner Zafar Iqbal flagged off the marathon. Apart from Solan, about five hundred people including Superintendent of Police Yogesh Roulta and Commissioner Zafar Iqbal participated in this mini marathon.
Zafar Iqbal said on this occasion that sports have an important place to stay away from drugs and stay healthy. Many people are getting away from physical activity, even the grown up people are also far away from physical activity these days.
So to create awareness among them, we are doing this mini marathon and we have given the slogan – healthyIndia, wealthy India and along with us Lions club Solan valley is organizing it and along with us HDFC mutual fund is also our partner. There is a partner with us in this.
In this marathon, we have divided into three categories. We have made three categories of children under eighteen years and below, people above eighteen years and up to forty years and 40 plus category.
And in this we will also give first, second, third price in all the three categories and we are giving free t-shirts to all the participants for the first 200 entries.
We will try that if more people come, then we will give them free T-shirts and whoever completes this, we will also provide a certificate of completion from the club and SD.
