  • Constable Jagdish Chander: Constable Jagdish Chander was awarded the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry for his bravery in fighting militants in Jammu and Kashmir. On 26 December 2003, he single-handedly neutralized two heavily-armed militants and prevented a major attack on the BSF camp.
  • Assistant Sub-Inspector Narinder Kumar: Assistant Sub-Inspector Narinder Kumar was awarded the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry for his bravery in fighting terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. On 22 November 2002, he led a daring operation to neutralize three heavily-armed terrorists and rescued hostages, even after being critically wounded.
