Australia will host the Quad Leaders’ Summit on 24 May in Sydney. This will be the first time that the Quad Leaders Summit will be hosted by Australia. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said in a tweet, “I am honored to host the first ever Quad Leaders’ Summit in Sydney in Australia.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Australia in May to participate in the Quad Leaders Summit. The announcement was made during a joint press conference held by Prime Minister Modi with his Australian counterpart in March, when Anthony Albanese was on a four-day visit to India. During this, PM Modi had said that “India and Australia are both members of the Quad. I thank PM Albanese for inviting me to Australia for the Quad Leaders’ Summit in May. I have invited him for the G20 Summit in September.” India is invited.
Prime Minister Modi has emphasized on several occasions that the Quad is a force for global good and aims at the development of the Indo-Pacific region while safeguarding the interests of all its members.
