Czech Republic-based carmaker Skoda has finally launched its much-awaited electric SUV, the Elroq. The company has so far launched the model in the European market, and it is likely to come to India as well.

The brand hasn’t revealed the launch dates yet. However, some reports claim that it could hit the market in 2025, and will rival the upcoming electric Creta.

Variants, battery, and power
The EV is offered in four variants, with each trim getting different battery setups. The base one gets a 55 kWh option with a rear-wheel drive layout, which generates a maximum of 168 bhp and 310 Nm of torque. The second top variant gets a 63 kWh battery pack that produces a maximum power of 201 bhp and a peak torque of 310 Nm.

The third trim uses an 82 kWh unit that produces a total output of 281 bhp and a peak torque of 545 Nm, while the last and top-of-the-line variant produces a peak output of 295 bhp and a peak output of 545 Nm.

Design Language
The Skoda Elroq is based on Volkswagen’s most trusted MEB platform that has already been used in several EVs. In terms of road presence, the EV comes with a very minimalistic approach, with a sleek LED headlight setup paired with cube-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs).

The front grille gets a piano black finish touch, while the lower panel gets a matte finish treatment. The bonnet gets a silver finish with Skoda badging, which makes it look even more beautiful from outside.

Interior

Inside, the Elroq is offered with a massive 13-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, which supports all wireless car connect technology. Other notable elements include a multi-functional steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, rear AC vents, comfortable seats and automatic climate control.
