The MLA regarding giving tribal status to Giripar area of Sirmour district was passed in Rajya Sabha yesterday. The Lok Sabha has already passed this MLA. There is an atmosphere of happiness in Giripar area on the passing of this MLA and people celebrated till late last night.
The people of Giripar say that their almost five-decade-old demand has been fulfilled and for this they had to struggle a long time. The people of the area thanked the central government for this.
There are about three lakh population in Giripar area, who will get tribal status. The people of Giripar area celebrated the passage of the bill in Chaugan Maidan of Nahan with beating of drums.
The people of Giripar area say that they are grateful to the Central Government of India for this and they also said that they have had to struggle a lot for this and if they are not able to take advantage of it, then their next generation will take advantage of this bill and there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people of the area.
