Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan has said that the state government will provide all possible help to the disaster affected people.
Talking to reporters after taking stock of the damage caused by heavy rains, floods and landslides in Haripurdhar and surrounding areas of Renukaji assembly constituency of Sirmaur district, he said that all the concerned departments should prepare the damage report as soon as possible and make arrangements. Instructions have been given to repair it again so that the general public does not face any problem.
The Industries Minister said that the road restoration work is going on in Sirmour district on a war footing and most of the roads have been restored for traffic.
He also said that in Sirmour district, where the Public Works Department and Jal Shakti Department have suffered the most, people have also suffered a lot in private.
Harsh Vardhan Chouhan said that the government has increased the amount of compensation and soon this amount will be distributed among the affected people.
He said – There has been a lot of damage in various areas and in many places, especially in the roads and what I have given is the instructions to the PWD department and other departments and people have also suffered a lot privately.
We will thank the government, the Chief Minister, who has made a provision of one lakh rupees in NREGA to those who have suffered damage to the houses and that is immediately through the deputy commissioner on the recommendation of Panchayat and VDO That money will be credited on recommendation. People will be relieved by getting that money.
