Shimla News – Wildlife Week Marathon started with more than 450 participants at Ridge Ground.
Wildlife Week Marathon has been organized from Ridge Ground to Summerhill in Shimla. The main objective of Wildlife Week Marathon is to make people of India and abroad aware about the conservation of wild animals.
Under the Wildlife Week 2023, Wildlife Week Marathon was successfully launched at the historic Ridge Ground in the capital Shimla under the auspices of Wildlife Division, Forest Department, Himachal Pradesh. Inauguration of Wildlife Week Marathon: Himachal Pradesh Principal Chief Forest Conservator and Forest Force Chief Rajeev Kumar inaugurated the Wildlife Week Marathon by flagging off. The Wildlife Week Marathon attracted over 450 participants, with the Wildlife Week Marathon route running from the historic Ridge Plains to Summerhill. All the winning runners of Wildlife Week Marathon were felicitated by Rajeev Kumar. The main objective of Wildlife Week Marathon is to make people of India and abroad aware about the conservation of wild animals.
During the Wildlife Week Marathon program, Additional Principal Chief Conservator Wildlife Division Anil Thakur, Additional Principal Chief Conservator H Kathuria, Chief Conservator Capital Shimla Dev Raj Kaushal, Deputy Conservator Headquarters Aneesh Sharma, Deputy Conservator Wildlife Division Capital Shimla N Ravi Shankar, Divisional Forest Officer Forest Department Sheetal. Sharma and all other officers and employees of Himachal Pradesh Sports Department were also present.
