Shimla News : Water supply schemes that were disrupted after heavy rains in Shimla city are yet to be fully restored
The water supply schemes that were interrupted after heavy rains in Shimla city are still not fully restored and the drinking water crisis in the capital has deepened. Thirty one mld water reached Shimla today whereas the city needs forty two mld water daily.
The people of Shimla told that even after four to five days water is not available and in every election the parties promise to give water to the city for 24 hours. But they forget after winning the election.
A citizen said – There was no water for four days and still there is no water, the water has run out. When the vehicle arrived, the water ran out. We didn’t get water, what to do now?
One more person said – all over Himachal has been affected by the rains. So because of this, water is coming very less, whose pumps have been jammed, and the government is also engaged in solving technical problems. Today this water is reaching this water tank and it has reached here with the help of fire brigade and its supply will be given to the entire place.
Efforts are being made to reach by tanker, whatever efforts the government is making, it is also trying from its side and we are living with the amount of water we have.
