Highlights –Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC), Shimla, in collaboration with the hospital management and State Bank of India (SBI), is now the largest state government hospital in Himachal Pradesh with the facility of making online cash payments .
UPI payment scanners have been installed by the banking team of State Bank of India (SBI), Shimla at all slip and cash deposit counters of IGMC Shimla for the convenience of the patients.

Talking to Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma, Medical Superintendent of Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital IGMC Shimla said that the entire hospital administration has made special arrangements for the UPI payment scanner installation process from State Bank of India, Shimla, to provide better facilities to the patients. Request was made, after installation of payment scanner, Hon’ble Medical Superintendent expressed gratitude to the entire team of State Bank of India SBI, Shimla through press release and said that banks are playing a very important role in making Digital India, Hon’ble The campaign of Digital India run by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has made this facility available not only in the cities but also in the poor and middle class families, and keeping this in mind, the UPI payment scanner at the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, IGMC, Shimla, is now available for all cash. And have been made available at the payment counters as per the convenience of the patients.
At which places the UPI payment scanner of IGMC Shimla will be more useful?
Medical Superintendent furthering his point told Diary Times that the UPI payment scanner will prove to be very beneficial for the payment of all the important tests which are not free by the state government and are very expensive by Himachal Pradesh government and all those Fees for important tests can be easily paid through these scanners.
