Shimla News : Tourism business has suffered huge losses due to the natural calamity in the state. President of Hotel and tourism stakeholder association Mohendra Seth told a press conference in Shimla that the tourism season used to be at its peak in the month of July-August. Fear has arisen in his mind which needs to be removed.

He said that the government, including business taxi drivers related to tourism, has also suffered a loss of crores. He said – in these days, there used to be 70 to 80 percent occupancy in July-August, during weekends it used to be 40-50 percent, no doubt discounted. used to live. So you can imagine how much damage would have happened to the tourism industry.

And we people who don’t talk directly, we talk indirectly, people are also connected, people who are connected with tourism industry, they have become taxi drivers, they have become horsemen, poor poor people run for love, their livelihood also depends on this. By doing this they became travel agents. All these people became shopkeepers for years, became showrooms, mostly their dependents are on tourism only.

So this thing we just want to say that at least for the coming time because if we talk about September then from mid September till February when tourist comes from Gujarat, tourist comes from Bengal. We will continue to show this same scene of ours, definitely it will cause a lot of damage.

We want it to be done a little positive, so that the things that are happening, the losses should also be shown a little positive, so that in the coming times, whatever is happening to tourism, there is not so much damage and tourism is back on track.
