Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has demanded the state government to speed up the relief works in the disaster affected areas.
In a statement in Shimla, Jai Ram Thakur said that there were still many affected areas where no government relief had reached. He said that in the remote areas affected by the calamity, people were waiting for electricity, water, communication and medical facilities but Far from reaching government help, no representative of the government has even reached these villages.
He said that after this disaster, the situation remains worrisome because whatever resources were left with the people are running out. Jairam Thakur said that the government needs to take concrete steps for the rehabilitation of the affected people of this disaster.
He said that the government should also take care of the gardeners in the calamity because they are suffering losses due to the closure of the roads.
The leader of the opposition said that due to the negligence of the government, the gardeners are suffering and due to the closure of the roads, their fruits and vegetables are not able to reach the market, due to which the gardeners are also suffering a lot.
