Shimla Ice Skating Rink: Now You Can Enjoy Ice Skating In Shimla For 12 Months, Preparations To Set Up Refrigeration Plant

Now tourists and locals will be able to easily enjoy skating in the ice skating rink located in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, not just for three months in winter, but for the entire twelve months. For this, complete preparations have been started for setting up a refrigeration plant in the Ice Skating Club, Shimla. The complete outline of the plan to freeze ice for twelve months has been prepared by installing all the necessary machines along with the refrigeration plant in the ice skating rink located in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Asian Development Bank (ADB) is going to provide the entire budget for the refrigeration plant and all the machines. As of now, the entire process of natural ice formation is started in the Ice Skating Rink Shimla from the month of December. The entire process of natural ice formation depends most on temperature. Many times, during the entire process of natural snow formation, the snow melts due to cloud cover. Manpreet Sembi, General Secretary, Ice Skating Club, Shimla, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that a detailed outline of the entire plan to build an all-weather ice skating rink in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, has been prepared. Due to which, if a refrigeration plant is installed in the ice skating club, then ice can be easily stored for external tourists and local people for twelve months. The complete outline for the complete renovation of the ice skating rink has been prepared with the budget funds received from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The e-tender process will be started after preparing the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the renovation of Ice Skating Rink Shimla. By the middle of the coming new year, the ice skating rink, Shimla, will be completely ready as an all-weather skating rink.

The all-weather ice skating rink will have all the world-class facilities –

Ice can be made for tourists and local people in the Ice Skating Rink Shimla in any month through the refrigeration plant for making ice in the all-weather ice skating rink, which is being built with the funding of Asian Development Bank (ADB) at a cost of crores of rupees. A complete plan of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been prepared to provide changing rooms, ice skating rink, restaurant as well as all the facilities in the ice skating rink Shimla as per all the international standards in the world class ice skating rink Shimla. Officials of Ice Skating Club Shimla have said that this year there will be no increase in any kind of fees related to skating in Ice Skating Club Shimla. In the Ice Skating Rink Shimla, the fee for the entire season will be fixed at Rs 3,000 for the senior category, Rs 3,500 for all couples and Rs 1800 for the junior category skaters. The skating fee for the junior category has been fixed at Rs 1200 and for the senior category the skating fee has been fixed at Rs 1500. It has also been planned by Ice Skating Club Shimla that carnival and various skating events will be organized at Ice Skating Rink Shimla from 25th to 31st December. A detailed plan is being made to organize a special program at Ice Skating Rink Shimla for the coming New Year also.

Currently, people have to wait a long time to go skating in the ice skating rink Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. On the other hand, the tourists coming from outside states to Narkanda in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, which is world famous for skiing, will soon be given world class ice skating in Narkanda and roller skating will also be organized in the remaining nine months. The entire process of building an ice skating rink in Narkanda to organize ice skating and roller skating has also been started. The foundation stone of the ice skating rink was laid by Kuldeep Rathore, MLA from Theog assembly constituency, on Friday. An estimated amount of Rs thirty seven lakh will be spent on the construction work of the ice skating rink. An amount of Rs 27 lakh had already been sanctioned for the ice skating rink. The announcement of additional amount of Rs 10 lakh has been made by Theog Assembly MLA Kuldeep Rathore on Friday.

Theog MLA Kuldeep Rathore said that the dream of constructing an ice skating rink was cherished fifteen years ago. The budget for the ice skating rink was also approved by former Himachal Pradesh government minister Vidya Stokes, but due to some reason the work could not progress. After which even NOC was not available from Himachal Pradesh Forest Department. After becoming MLA from Theog Assembly, Kuldeep Rathore organized a meeting with the officials regarding the ice skating rink and whatever development work was pending for fifteen years was settled in a few hours in the meeting with the officials. Theog assembly constituency will also be made a model assembly constituency and in the coming days, Narkanda will make its own identity on the major map of the world from the point of view of world class tourism development. More tourists than Manali are going to come to Narkanda in the coming days. All efforts are being made to bring new projects to further develop Narkanda as a world class tourist destination. Theog Assembly MLA Kuldeep Rathore also held a detailed discussion with the Union Ministers regarding making Narkanda a world class tourist destination.
