The gardeners of the area are facing double whammy due to hailstorm. Due to this, helnet has been installed to prevent any damage to the flowering of apple plants in the orchards, which is bursting badly and flowers have also started falling.
For this reason, due to the cold in the apple areas including Theog, the lines of worry are deepening on the forehead of the gardeners regarding the upcoming apple crop.

Due to the sharp drop in temperature due to heavy rains at the end of March, the apple business worth crores of rupees has been clouded by crisis. Falling temperatures have slowed down the flowering process. If the weather continues like this in the coming days, then the apple crop may be adversely affected.

dire need of clear weather
Presently flowering process is going on on apple plants in medium and high altitude apple regions, for which proper temperature and fair weather is strictly required. Due to unseasonal rains and drop in temperature in the low altitude areas, stone fruit and apple have suffered a lot. The setting time of stone fruit is nearing completion in these areas.
