Shimla: DC and SP took stock of the damage caused by cloudburst in Damroli

Shimla, August 17: Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap and Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi reached the spot to take stock of the damage caused by cloudburst in Damroli area of ​​the capital on Friday night.
Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said that there is no report of any human loss due to cloudburst, but many gardens have been damaged. He has directed the revenue department officials to prepare a report soon so that relief can be provided to the affected farmers.
Kashyap said that the district administration is ready to deal with the entire situation. All the concerned officials on the spot have been instructed to streamline other arrangements including traffic, water and electricity supply.
Due to cloudburst last night, bridges and roads in Kholti Nala, Devidhar, Chikhri Nala, Kalbat and Damrali area on Taklech-Rampur road have been badly damaged. The Public Works Department has been instructed to repair the road by this evening so that the local people do not face any problem in commuting.
The Deputy Commissioner has restored the power supply in the area and has also given necessary instructions to the departmental officers to repair the damage to the drinking water schemes.
On the spot, the DC and SP obtained information about the accident from the local people and listened to their problems. During this inspection, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Rampur Nishant Tomar, various departmental officers and local residents were also present.
