The movie is reportedly a remake of the Malayali movie “Driver’s License” from 2019. The genre of the movie is Action-Comedy with a hint of drama.

It is an Akshay Kumar-Emraan Hashmi duo starrer movie. The duo will be sharing the screen for the very first time and the audience is waiting with bated breath to see the outcome. It will be interesting to see how the movie stands with Diana Penty and Nushrratt Bharuccha playing important roles alongside. It marks the debut of Prithviraj Productions in Bollywood with Dharma Productions as a collaborator.
Plot:
Emraan Hashmi plays the role of a father who shares a mutual level of obsession with his son for the superstar Vijay. The father searches for an opportunity to click a selfie with the superstar for his son and finally gets one when he asks for Vijay’s driving licence which was to be renewed. Vijay suggests the son to not be as opportunistic as his father. This saddened the son and he realised that nobody can ever surpass his father’s magnanimity, something he used to dearly admire. The son goes up to the father and confesses how he has always been his role model and he can never put anyone on the pedestal, even if it means superstar Vijay. Emraan Hashmi, who’s playing the role of the father gets emotional and decides to stir up the competition for the superstar by auditioning for the roles.
What to expect:
This belongs to the action comedy with a hint of drama genre which will mark the first debut of the Emraan-Akshay duo, two renowned superstars. The duo will be seen dancing to the iconic number “Main Khiladi Tu Anaari” with Akshay all suited up in a charcoal palette suit and Emraan in a red and white plaid shirt. It is also a remake of the 2019 Malayali film entitled “Driver’s License” wherein the actor Prithviraj Sukumaran had to renew his driving licence and in the process comes across a fan in the renewal agent centre and leaves with a room filled with alot of misunderstanding.
Budget and Revenue from presales:
This movie is valued at 150 crores since the fee charged by Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi were hefty. The exact figure of pre sales is not known, but, as per the sources and based upon the excitement of netizens, it can be said that the movie will generate 200 crores in pre sales.
