Police personnel will be given training regarding road safety in Shimla
In order to reduce road accidents in the state, a two-day workshop on road safety is being organized in the capital Shimla from today. In this workshop, organized in collaboration with the World Bank, police personnel were given training and information regarding road safety. Will go
Sixty-six police personnel of the southern range are participating in this workshop. These personnel will be made aware of traffic management in different sessions by the experts. So there is a road safety initiative, under which this project is being run by the World Bank. This two-day training program is being conducted by P r I dc through P r l for capacity building of seventeen range police officers.
In this, 66 police personnel of our seventeen range are participating. If we talk about road accidents, the main reason is over speeding. If we analyze the net data, forty percent of the traffic accidents occur. It is due to over speeding and it is our endeavor to reduce it further.
United Nations has also said that till 2000 we have to reduce the traffic, orbital fatalities and injuries by 50 percent and we launch awareness campaign at our level.
