Petrol and diesel prices may come down very soon
Friends, as you all know that there was no reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel for some time, but according to some sources, the Petroleum Ministry is considering reducing the rate of petrol and diesel. The price of petrol and diesel has not changed since last 13 months. The last price cut was on 22 May 2022. Since then it is stable. And this is the reason why the petroleum ministry is considering a price cut. In the coming few months, the public can get a big relief on the cost of petrol and diesel.
According to the information received from the source of the Ministry of Petroleum, there is less hope of imposing windfall tax on petrol and diesel again. At present, the notification issued on May 16 regarding windfall tax is applicable. In that decision, the government had reduced it from Rs 4100 per tonne to zero on crude. Windfall tax on petrol, diesel and ATF is already zero.
