Tuesday, February 20: A painful accident has occurred due to a mountain crack near 6 miles between Mandi and Pandoh on Chandigarh-Manali four lane. Due to huge amount of sharp stones and debris falling, the machines and operators working here also got buried under the debris.

The entire accident happened around 1.30 in the afternoon.

As soon as information about the complete accident was received, rescue teams of NHAI, KMC Company, Administration and Mandi District Police were sent to the spot.

Due to huge amount of debris and sharp stones falling on Chandigarh-Manali Highway, the entire route has been completely closed for traffic.

All types of vehicles are being sent from Mandi to Kullu via Kataula and from Pandoh to Sundernagar via Gohar.

According to the information received about the entire incident, the contractor of KMC company was doing the work of removing the debris already fallen on the Chandigarh-Manali four lane.

Then suddenly the hill cracked and a huge amount of stones and debris fell.

It is being told that sensing the danger, the machine operator tried to escape by getting out of the machine, but he could not succeed and got buried under the debris.

Now another machine has been called to the spot and the work of removing the debris has been started.

The buried machine operator can be taken out only after removing the debris.
