Kullu News : Water is overflowing from this dam for the last few weeks due to blockage of the gate of Malana power project phase two dam in Manikarna valley of Kullu district.
All efforts to open the gate of the dam have failed so far. Although the efforts to open this closed gate are still going on. Seeing any possible danger, NDRF has been deployed in the lower areas of the dam and BBMB experts Help is also being taken to open the closed gate of the dam.
Due to the non-opening of the gate so far, people in the lower areas of the dam are living under the shadow of fear. The administration has got some houses vacated due to the possibility of the dam breaking.
Let’s see this report of our correspondent Kumud Sharma in this regard. The gate of Malana power project two dam in Manikarna valley of Kullu district is jammed since last few days due to which water is overflowing.
Due to the overflow of this water, the people living in the low-lying areas are living in the shadow of fear. However, the project management and the district administration say that there is no danger.
Twenty-five million cusec liters of water is filled in the dam of phase two of Malana power project. After opening the gate of the dam, the water will first go to the dam of phase one of Malana power project which is empty now.
Only after this the water will be available in Parvati river and then coming to Bhuntar will flow into Vyas river. Meanwhile, people are getting more apprehensive due to the rumors going on in the social media regarding the dam of Malana hydroelectric project.
Not only Kullu district but also the people living on the banks of Beas river in Mandi district are in panic due to these rumors going on about the breaking of the dam and the administration clearly says that people should avoid these rumors.
