Kinnaur News: Landslide Near Nathpa National Highway Five Blocked In Kinnaur Himachal Pradesh

Rampur Bushahr- Due to another massive landslide near Nathpa Jhula in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, National Highway 5 Nigulsari has been closed, which has once again increased the miseries of thousands of people.

Fifteen laborers along with three JCB machines have been deployed by the Kinnaur district administration to restore National Highway Five Nigulsari.

Due to continuous massive landslides in the hill near Nathpa Jhula, restoration of National Highway 5 Nigulsari has once again become a challenge for the Kinnaur district administration.

National Highway 5 becomes a problem for Nigulsari authority due to continuous heavy landslides near Nathpa Jhula –

Due to continuous landslides from the hills of Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, the mountains are becoming weak.

The troubles of thousands of people of Kinnaur district have once again increased due to the continuously active heavy landslide near Nathpa Jhula on National Highway 5, Nigulsari.

National Highway 5 Nigulsari has been blocked by the Kinnaur district administration once again on Monday evening due to heavy landslides and falling of sharp rocks through the hill.

More than two hundred meters of the road near National Highway 5 is completely buried under debris.

All the travelers going towards Kaza and Lahaul-Spiti, including the three important sections of Kinnaur district, are facing huge problems due to the closure of National Highway 5 Nigulsari.

Due to huge landslides and sharp rocks on the National Highway 5 at Nathpa Jhula in Nigulsari on Monday at around 5.15 pm, the entire road has been closed by the Kinnaur District Administration.

Even on Tuesday, the sequence of massive landslides at Nathpa Jhula near National Highway 5 Nigulsari has not stopped.

Due to blockage of National Highway 5 Nigulsari, long queues of heavy vehicles have formed on both the roads.

On the other hand, due to the blockage of National Highway 5 Nigulsari, the movement of all small and big heavy vehicles from Kalpa, Nichar, Pooh, Kaza and Lahaul-Spiti has been completely stopped by the Kinnaur district administration.

Also, the movement of all small vehicles through the alternative route of Panvi-Plingi-Nichar on National Highway 5 Nigulsari is being done by the Kinnaur district administration.

Due to the closure of National Highway 5, Nigulsari, thousands of people are able to travel in small vehicles, covering an additional distance of about six and a half kilometers.

Also, small vehicles are traveling on the dilapidated road near National Highway 5 Nigulsari, putting their lives at risk.

The National Highway 5 Nigulsari Authority has specially deployed three JCB machines and fifteen additional laborers with immediate effect to timely restore the blocked National Highway 5 Nigulsari.

Due to heavy landslides due to continuous hill cracking, easily restoring both the roads of National Highway 5 Nigulsari has been no less than a challenge for the Kinnaur district administration.

On the other hand, XEN KL Suman of National Highway 5 Nigulsari Authority, Rampur Bushahr told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that to restore the completely blocked National Highway 5 Nigulsari, fifteen additional laborers along with three JCB machines have been deployed on war footing.

Due to continuous heavy landslides from the hill, the entire work of restoring both the roads of National Highway 5 Nigulsari is continuously being hampered.

But with all-out efforts, National Highway 5 to Nigulsari will soon be restored.
