Kangra, August 4: A 32-year-old youth died after falling from a hill in Pihri Galoti Panchayat of Kangra district. This accident happened when the youth went to cut grass. During this, he slipped from the hill and fell into a deep ravine. Village Panchayat head Vikram Singh said that the deceased youth was married just 8 months ago. The deceased left behind his parents and wife.

Police station Khundian in-charge Ranjeet Singh Parmar said that late at night he received information about a person falling from a hill near Durg Khad. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot and immediately took action and conducted a search operation. He said that the youth was found dead about 400 feet below the hill. Police station in-charge Ranjeet Singh Parmar said that the deceased youth has been identified as Sumit Kumar (32) son of Vikram Singh, Post Office Gharna Tehsil Khundian District Kangra.

The police recorded the statements of the family members and took the body into custody and sent it to Civil Hospital Dehra for postmortem. After the postmortem, the body was handed over to the family members. The police have registered a case under Section 194 and started further action.
