Himachal News : Jai Ram Thakur today visited the flood affected areas at Thunag in Mandi district and inquired about the well being of the victims
Former Chief Minister, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur today visited the flood-affected areas at Thanag in Mandi district and met the affected people to know their condition.
Interacting with the media, Jai Ram Thakur said that half of Thanag’s market has been destroyed after the flood due to heavy rains and in such a situation the local administration is not present here to carry out the relief work.
Jairam Thakur said that the people of Thanag have been left to the mercy of God, while the government should work seriously in the hour of this disaster.
He said – I can say that this is the biggest loss in the history till date. Thanag, which is our SDM head quarter, almost half of the market here has been destroyed, people’s houses have been washed away, burst, damaged, and along with the houses, I am also a commercial complex.
Many people have shops in which many valuable items are kept in the shop here. Nothing is left of it to sell. It is completely destroyed and I am really sorry about that.
