IPL 2023: Hetmyer does not like easy situations, says RR skipper Samson after win over GT
Samson said, ‘At the beginning of our batting, he bowled a great swing with the new ball. And we had to respect him but we knew very well that in the later overs we would be able to play big shots. When asked about Shimron Hetmyer, who played match-winning innings, Samson said, “He doesn’t like easy situations, we like to put him in such situations because he usually wins us matches from such situations.”
When Samson was dismissed for 60, Hetmyer took charge with the bat. The in-form West Indian smashed a 25-ball fifty and scored an unbeaten 56 to help the Royals pull off a stunning win.
