Opinion poll results show Erdogan trailing his rival Kemal Kilicdaroglu by ten points. According to the poll survey, Erdogan’s AKP party and presidential ally MHP are expected to win 45 percent of the vote in the parliamentary elections. Whereas, Kamal is ahead by more than ten percentage points.

In Turkey, the uproar regarding the presidential election has intensified. This time, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is facing the biggest challenge in his 20 years of rule. Six opposition parties have jointly nominated Kemal Kilicdaroglu as their candidate against Erdogan. Kemal Kilikdaroglu is called ‘Gandhi of Turkey’. Kamal fights for people’s rights, social justice and democracy in Turkey. Turkish media also calls him Kamal Gandhi. He also wears glasses like Mahatma Gandhi.
