Chamba, 7 September: A bus of Chamba depot of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) met with an accident in Pathankot, Punjab. One passenger died in the accident, while 12 people were injured. The accident took place last night on Pathankot-Chamba National Highway. The cause of the accident is not yet known. Pathankot police is investigating the matter.
According to the information, the bus was going from Chamba to Amritsar. There were a total of 41 people in the bus. The accident occurred in Mamun Cantt area near Bungal Badhani village. It is being told that the bus suddenly overturned on the road, due to which the front glass of the bus broke and the passengers were injured. The injured have been admitted to the local hospital.
According to the officials, the exact cause of the accident is not yet known. The police has started investigating the matter.
