HPS officer Ram Karna Rana dies, Himachal Police mourns
Dharamshala, October 26: There is a wave of mourning in the state police department over the death of Himachal Pradesh Police Service officer Ram Karna Rana. The Commandant of 2nd IRBN Sakoh and the entire force have expressed their condolences on the untimely demise of HPS. He died suddenly in the early hours of Saturday, which has sent a wave of mourning in the police force and the family. Himachal Pradesh Police expresses solidarity and sympathy with the bereaved family in this difficult time and provides them strength.

Late Ram Karna Rana was awarded the DGP Disc Award in 2019 during his posting as DSP in Salooni, Chamba. His services were appreciated by the top officials of the state, and he was given this award at the felicitation ceremony held in Shimla. His last rites were performed with state honors in his native village Khaniyara.

The late Ram Karna has left behind his parents, wife, 2 daughters and a son. He was currently serving as Assistant Commandant in Bangarh Battalion. Police department officials reached the funeral and paid tribute to him.
