Himachal Pradesh News – Union Minister Nitin Gadkari assesses the damage caused to the National Highway and roads in Kullu and Manali
Himachal Pradesh News – Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari took stock of the flood-damaged National Highway at various places in the entire Kullu district and the damage caused in all other places at Bhuntar Airport in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh from Chandigarh this morning. Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh were present to conduct the ceremony.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu while talking to correspondent Kumud Sharma in the Diary Times press conference said that
Today along with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari visited Mandi and Kullu districts affected by the natural calamity by highway. We stand firmly with the affected families in this hour of calamity and are doing everything possible to help them . We will work together to recover from this tragedy and rebuild the affected roads.
Took stock of the damage in Kullu from the air tour –
Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh made an aerial survey of all the major places in Kullu district due to rains and landslides on various national highways and roads in Kullu district. Also took stock of all the damage affected places and assuring everyone, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that there is no shortage of budget with the central government to bring back the damage caused to national highways and roads and bring life back to normal. There is no and whatever amount of help is needed, the amount will be sanctioned immediately.
Took stock of the damage done in Manali’s aalu ground –
Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari took stock of the damaged national highways and roads at various places in Manali district as well as the loss of crores of rupees in the aalu ground of the district and asked all the public representatives and members of the Janpad Panchayat to do everything possible to bring life back on track. Nitin Gadkari also announced help from Central Financial Assistance and Central Disaster Emergency Fund.
People’s representatives submitted memorandum regarding the damage caused in their respective areas –
On this occasion, all the people’s representatives of Himachal Pradesh and the chief members of the Janpad Panchayat submitted a memorandum to Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari for central financial assistance amounting to the loss of crores of rupees in their respective areas and districts. Handed over Nitin Gadkari ji assured the officers to accept the aid amount immediately with immediate effect on all the demands and memorandums.
Jairam Thakur apprised the situation –
On this occasion, former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur handed over the DPR report to the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for all the significant losses to Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and reviewed the conditions of all the loss-affected areas. Expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Nitin Gadkari for all the important relief work and NDRF at the time of floods in Himachal Pradesh.
