Himachal Pradesh Budget news: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday presented a budget of Rs 58,444 crore for the year 2024-25. Seven new schemes have been announced by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in the budget. Besides, three new policies have also been announced by CM Sukhu.
In the budget speech, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced the launch of Rajiv Gandhi Natural Farming Startup Scheme, under this scheme a target has been set to connect 36,000 farmers of Himachal with natural farming.
Apart from this, Sheep-Goat Farmers Promotion Scheme is going to be started in the state to start FMD vaccination for sheep and goats and to solve their other problems.
It has been announced to start the Chief Minister Sukh Arogya Yojana. Under Sukh Arogya Yojana, all the elderly people above 70 years of age who are not paying income tax in the state are going to get free medical facilities.
Chief Minister Sukh Shiksha Yojana and Maharishi Valmiki Kamgar Awas Yojana have also been started.
Along with this, Apna Vidyalaya-Mera Vidyalaya-Mera Samman and Chief Minister Green Development Scholarship Scheme are also going to be started.
Himachal government has set a target of making the state a green energy state by 31 March 2026. Himachal Pradesh is the leading state of the country to take initiative for this. 6 green corridors have been established in the state.
CM Sukhu said that this is the first time in the history of Himachal that minimum support price has been ensured even on milk purchase.
Himachal Pradesh is the only state in the entire country to do so. This increased amount is going to be given to the milk producers according to the quality of the milk. If the farmer gets a higher price for milk in the open market, he will be free to sell it in the open market. Due to increased livestock, more dung will be available which will be useful in natural farming.
Himachal government will bear the expenses of education of children of widows of the state –
Announcing the launch of the new scheme Chief Minister Sukh Shiksha Yojana, the Chief Minister said that the expenditure on the education of the children of all widows up to 27 years of age in Himachal Pradesh whose annual income from all sources is less than Rs 1 lakh, The state government will bear it. This facility is going to be provided to these children when they get admission in Medical College, Engineering College, NIT, IIM, IIT, Nursing, Graduation and Post Graduation courses.
