State Congress President and MP Pratibha Singh and Congress National Spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore have demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi to declare it a national calamity and also provide a special relief package for the damage caused by heavy rains in the state.
Pratibha Singh said that the state government and the Congress party are standing with the public in this difficult time. Today it is raining very badly in Himachal for the last three to four days. And in Kullu it has affected a lot and people are still upset
On the other hand, Congress national spokesperson Kuldeep Rathore said that heavy rains have caused loss of crores of rupees in the state. He said that many big BJP leaders of Himachal Pradesh are in the central leadership. To give the package, one should put his side in front of the central government.
Kuldeep Rathore urged the Center to send its team to Himachal to get the details of the damage in the state and after assessing the damage, provide a relief package to Himachal.
