Himachal News: Now Goods Tax Will Be Deposited Till 31st March, HP Government Gives Big Relief To Truck Operators
Himachal Pradesh government has given big relief to truck operators. All the truck operators of Himachal Pradesh who have not yet deposited the goods tax can now deposit their goods tax till 31st March. All truck operators have now been given simplification by the Himachal Pradesh Government to deposit goods tax. Nearly 10,000 truck operators in BBN of Himachal Pradesh are going to benefit from Goods Tax simplification. Now all the 10,000 truck operators of Himachal Pradesh can easily deposit the goods tax along with tax and ten percent penalty in the RTO and RLA office. All the 10000 truck operators of Himachal Pradesh are not going to need to take any NOC from Himachal Pradesh Excise Department.
PGT has been converted into Special Road Tax (SRT) by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. All truck operators who are registered in RLA and RTO offices can now deposit their goods tax by visiting SRT and RTO offices.
Earlier, the period for submission of SRT was extended till 31st December by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. But some truck operators have not yet deposited SRT. Due to which now once again an important decision has been taken to extend the period for submission of SRT.
Earlier, Himachal Pradesh Government used to impose SRT of Rs. 6,000 on six tyre trucks and after that 18 percent interest and penalty had to be paid separately to Himachal Pradesh Government. Which was sitting too much for the truck operators.
In this way, earlier the Himachal Pradesh government had to pay SRT 10 thousand and 18 percent interest and penalty separately to the truck operators on trucks with ten tyres. But the Himachal Pradesh government had now simplified the SRT and asked to deposit it with ten percent interest by December 31, but some truck operators have not deposited the SRT even after December 31.
There are still 1800 truck operators in the RTO office who have not deposited the goods tax. Apart from this, there are hundreds of such vehicles in the RLA office of Nalagarh. Those truck operators who have not deposited this goods tax are being given a last chance by the Himachal Pradesh government.
RTO Madan Sharma told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the Himachal Pradesh government had given time till December 31 to simplify the goods tax and deposit it with 10 percent interest. But some truck operators have not deposited the goods tax despite December 31. Now all those truck operators are once again being given a last chance till March 31 by the Himachal Pradesh government.
