Mandi – Leader of Opposition in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, Jairam Thakur, while addressing the Diary Times press conference, said that it is thanks to the Modi government at the Center that the Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh is distributing the disaster relief package amount to the disaster victims of Himachal Pradesh. Jairam Thakur also said that in the disaster relief package which has been announced by the Himachal Pradesh Government, Rs. 364 crores were first given by the Modi Government at the Center and later the Central Government gave it as the second installment. One hundred and ninety crore rupees given by the Himachal Pradesh Government, as well as a relief amount of two hundred crore rupees has been provided to the Himachal Pradesh Government as the third installment under NDRF, and also one thousand crore rupees have been given to the Himachal Pradesh Government under the MNREGA scheme. An amount of Rs. 1000 has been provided in which amount for 1.5 thousand newly constructed houses has also been provided for the disaster affected people.
Former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and current Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, while addressing the Diary Times press conference, said that the entire Himachal Pradesh is successfully distributing the relief package amount to the disaster affected people on the strength of the Modi government at the Centre. On the other hand, the Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh is making serious allegations against the Central Government that the Central Government is not helping even a single rupee, which is completely contrary to the facts.
Himachal Pradesh Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said this to Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma while addressing the Diary Times press conference after listening to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji’s Mann Ki Baat program at the Circuit House in Mandi district.
Jai Ram Thakur said that in the amount of relief package that has been announced for the entire Himachal Pradesh, the first installment of that amount will be Rs 364 crore from the Central Government, while the second installment will be Rs 190 crore and the Himachal Pradesh Government will give it towards NDRF. Disaster relief amount of Rs. 200 crores will be provided from MNREGA along with Rs. 1000 crores to be given to Himachal Pradesh government under MNREGA scheme, in which relief package amount will also be provided for six thousand newly constructed houses for the disaster affected people of Himachal Pradesh Has been Completely Built And done By Himachal Government.
Jai Ram Thakur said that despite receiving so much relief package amount, the Sukhu Government of Himachal Pradesh is blaming the Honorable Prime Minister of the Center Shri Narendra Modi Ji that not even a single rupees of help is being provided by the Central Government.
Jai Ram Thakur said that it is accepted that the Sukhu government is continuously demanding from the Central Government for special disaster relief amount, but for the relief amount provided by the Central Government, the Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh should at least get the help of the Central Government. The government should be thanked which can prove to be good for the Himachal Pradesh government.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the municipal corporations of four districts of Himachal Pradesh are being run without mayor and deputy mayor due to the failure of Himachal Pradesh government.
Jairam Thakur said that development work has come to a complete standstill in Himachal Pradesh.
Jairam Thakur said that not being able to conduct elections of Mayor and Deputy Mayor shows the failure of the ruling Congress Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh.
Jai Ram Thakur said that now the entire situation has become clear regarding the votes of all the MLAs in Himachal Pradesh, but the Sukhu government of Himachal Pradesh is fooling the people by not conducting elections.
Jairam Thakur alleged that the ruling Congress government of Himachal Pradesh was deliberately not conducting elections for the posts of Mayor and Deputy Mayor of four municipal corporations.
Also, Himachal Pradesh’s current Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur participated in the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at the Circuit House in Mandi district, listening to it along with all the officials and workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Jai Ram Thakur told all the party officials and workers that to build a self-reliant India, only local products should be purchased during festivals in Himachal Pradesh, which will give strength to all the small businessmen of Himachal Pradesh to become self-reliant.
