Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Una, April 06: A major accident occurred late on Friday evening in the district level sports competition going on in Government ITI Una. A 19-year-old trainee player fell from the third floor of ITI, due to which the player died on the spot. The deceased player has been identified as Krishna Kumar son of Pawan, resident of Dhundla Bangana, a trainee of Government ITI Dumkhar and a Kho-Kho and athlete. Una police has taken the body into custody and kept it in the dead house. Further action has been started.

Let us tell you that district level sports competition for men and women is going on in Government ITI Una. About 500 ITI trainee players from entire Una district are participating in this competition. On the fourth day on Saturday also, after the conclusion of the sports competition, the trainee players were present in Government ITI Una. Late evening, Krishna Kumar, a player from Government ITI Dumkhar, went to the third building of ITI. Due to darkness, Krishna Kumar fell into the lift space on the third floor.

After the screams during the accident, other fellow players reached the ground floor, from where the injured Krishna Kumar was taken out and brought to Una Regional Hospital with the help of 108 ambulance, where the doctors declared the trained player dead.
Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Bhatia said that the police is investigating the matter. The same body has been taken into custody.
