Government’s agreement with private company to provide jobs abroad
The state government has signed an MOU withEFS Facilities Services Group Limited in Shimla on Saturday. This company will help Himachal’s youth in getting jobs abroad.
In order to provide employment opportunities abroad to the youth of the state, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the state government and Dubai-based EFS Facilities Services Group Limited in the presence of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Under the new initiative of the state government, the Chief Minister provided appointment letters to Rajat Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Jaspreet Singh, Abhinav Sharma of Una district and Dinesh of Hamirpur district to work abroad. The visa process of all the five selected candidates is in progress and all the youth are expected to go to Saudi Arabia to work by September this year. The youth of the state will work in the Neom City project there.
The Chief Minister said that this MoU will pave the way for providing employment opportunities abroad to the unemployed youth of Himachal and in future more employment opportunities will be made available to the people abroad. He said that the process of overseas placement will be adopted in the state and reliable recruitment agents (RA) will be engaged by the department to provide employment to the Himachali youth.
The Chief Minister said that the Labor and Employment Department has been directed to develop a mechanism for the workplace environment and efficiency of the candidates belonging to the state working abroad. For this work, Chief Minister Seva Sankalp Helpline-1100 will also be linked.
One thousand youth will be appointed every year
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that under the comprehensive recruitment policy of EFS for youth in India, 15-20 percent recruitment will be done in the state in areas like hospitality, technical services, housekeeping, food and beverages and office services, under which one thousand candidates of the state will be appointed every year.
At least 25 youth will be selected by December
Tariq Chauhan, Chief Executive Officer of EFS Facilities Services Group Limited said that the company is registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is a leading company in integrated facility running in about 25 countries in Middle East, South Asia and Europe. He said that EFS is committed to select at least 25 candidates in this field by December. He said that no recruitment fee will be charged for the selection process and there will be no role of middlemen during this process.
