Imran Khan accused ISI officer of plotting his assassination

Imran Khan said in a rally on Saturday that Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) officer Major General Faisal Naseer was plotting to kill him. Imran Khan has alleged that ISI officer Major General Faisal Naseer, who tried to assassinate him twice, was involved in the murder of senior journalist Arshad Sharif. Arshad Sharif, a critic of the army, was murdered in Kenya in October last year. He fled the country citing threat to his life from the security agencies. In Kenya, police fired at an investigative journalist, killing him. Kenya’s police had said in its initial report that due to mistaken identity, a 49-year-old man was shot at his car, causing his death.

Imran Khan (71) had earlier accused Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah as well as General Naseer of attempting to assassinate him in Wazirabad in Punjab province in November last year. In this attack, there were three bullets in his leg.
