Barsar Police has obtained police remand till Monday by presenting Sandeep Kumar, resident of Thothian Tehsil, Baba Bakala of Thothian Tehsil, Baba Bakala District, Amritsar, Punjab, the main accused in the theft incidents in various areas of Barsar sub-division of Hamirpur district, in its court.
The main accused has also committed thefts in Khajjian, Chakmoh and all other areas of Badsar sub-division and all the thefts have been continuously processed and identified.
Badsar police of Hamirpur district will now interrogate the main accused in depth and continuously from every aspect.
Badsar police station in-charge of Hamirpur police, Praveen Rana, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the accused related to all the cases have been in the continuous custody of Himachal Pradesh Police for committing all the important theft incidents in Una district and also in the state of Punjab. .
Barsar police said that only after preliminary interrogation the accused confessed to the theft of jewelery worth more than fifteen lakh rupees.
Taking the matter seriously, Badsar police said that all these jewelery will be recovered soon.
The main accused was arrested by Barsar police near Bangana a few days ago, the main accused has been brought to Barsar police station after police action in all other major districts of Himachal Pradesh.
