G20 Summit New Delhi 2023 : India has launched the Global Biofuel Alliance at the G20 Summit. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this alliance. Prime Minister Modi said that the launch of the Global Biofuel Alliance is a historic moment in our efforts towards clean energy.
He thanked the member countries who have joined this alliance. The launch of the Global Biofuel Alliance reflects the working concept of India’s positive agenda as the G20 President. The Prime Minister said – We are aiming for 50 percent non fossil fuel capacity within this decade. We are working very fast on ethanol well blending on bio fuel.
In the last nine years, we have increased ethanol blending in petrol from 1.5 percent to 10 percent. Now we are moving towards the target of 20 percent engine oil blending.
Meanwhile, an ambitious project was also announced yesterday in the G 20 conference. This trade related project will connect India to Europe through Western Asia. The India-West Europe connectivity corridor, announced under the Global Framework and Investment Partnership Forum in the presence of world leaders, is the first project of its kind.
The Prime Minister said that this project will make India a medium for economic integration between West Asia and Europe. He said that this will be a medium for trade route, cooperation, innovation and shared progress.
