G20 Summit in varanasi: Representatives of 20 countries are participating in the G20 conference which began on June 11 in Varanasi. On Sunday, UNCTAD i.e. United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Greenspan shared his views.

On Sunday, UNCTAD i.e. United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Greenspan shared his views. Earlier, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar Prasad along with others warmly welcomed the delegation from 20 countries. During this, while addressing the meeting, Secretary General of UNCTAD i.e. United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, Greenspan said that this G20 summit to be held in Varanasi will prove to be effective in removing the concerns of the Global South. During this, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar Prasad was also present.

Do you know what is ‘Global South’?

The term Global South began to be used broadly to refer to countries that had been left out of the industrialization phase and were in ideological conflict with the capitalist and communist countries that had been reinforced by the Cold War. This mostly includes countries in Asia, Africa and South America. Furthermore, the Global North or ‘Global North’ is essentially defined by an economic divide between rich and poor countries. The ‘Global North’ broadly refers to countries such as the US, Canada, Europe, Russia, Australia and New Zealand. The ‘Global South’ is an important region because of its large population, rich cultures and abundant natural resources. Additionally, understanding the Global South is important for addressing global issues such as poverty, inequality, and climate change.

The world will see the development model of Kashi

Kashi’s development model will also be placed before the development ministers of G20 countries. It will be told that the development works are being taken forward while maintaining the ancient form of the city of religious, cultural and historical importance. The Kashi Vishwanath Dham Corridor will be cited as an ideal example. Information related to the construction of six and four lane roads, overbridges and foot overbridges will be given. It will also be told that the pace of development will be faster in future. The world’s third public transport ropeway is being built in Kashi.
