Finland’s Prime Minister Sanna Marin has suffered a major setback in the elections despite her popularity. His party has lost the election. The Social Democratic Party (SDP) with centre-left ideology has got the third position. Two right-wing parties have got the first and second positions. However, no party has got majority. Election results were announced in Finland on Sunday, according to which the right-wing National Coalition Party (NCP) got 20.8 percent of the vote. The Nation’s First Finns party got 20.1 percent of the vote and Sanna Marin’s SDP got 19.9 percent. The voting percentage was 71.9 per cent.

Marine congratulated the winners in his speech after the elections. Sana Marin said in her speech that even though she is in third place, her party’s vote percentage and number of MPs have increased since last time, which is a good achievement. He said, ‘Democracy has given its verdict. The Finnish people have cast their vote. We have good reason to be happy with this result. NCP leader Petteri Orpo said that this is a strong mandate for our policies. The leader of the Finns party, Rikka Purra, called it an excellent result.
